What we believe

As a family we wanted our business to be used by God to better reach others around us. Here is a list of things we believe about who God is.

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16 NIV

As this verse so eloquently puts it, the gift of eternal life is available to any who believe. This is a truth that goes beyond the basic definitions of religion; therefore, there are no requirements on how to do good works that out weigh the bad, and there’s no set way of praying or doing anything else that is typically described as religious. It just a belief, pure and simple that Jesus came and died on the cross to bear the sins that we have committed.

Who is God?

We believe that there is only one God, and that He is the creator of all things. He is infinite in His goodness, perfection, knowledge, power and grace. He is the first member of the Trinity. We believe that God is a very personal God, and that He wants to develop a relationship with every one.

Who is Jesus?

We believe that Jesus is the perfect Son of God who came to Earth as a baby, and grew to be a man living a perfect, sinless life. He was fully man, yet Has also fully God. While He was on the Earth He was tempted in everyway that you and I are tempted, yet He did not sin. He walked the Earth and performed many miracles before being handed over to be crucified. When He was crucified, He took upon Himself the full wrath of God and made atonement for all of the sins of the Earth that whoever would believe in Him would have eternal life. Just as important as His death is the fact that three days later He rose from the dead showing once and for all that God even has dominion over death. He is the second member of the Trinity.

Who is the Holy Spirit?

The Holy Spirit is the third member of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit is a gift that allows the believer to have access to God. Prior to the gift of the Holy Spirit, God spoke through his prophets and priests and there was not the personal connection with God that believers can now enjoy. This gift of the Holy Spirit is what gives us believers a hope, and it is what convicts us when we have done wrong.

Why do we pray?

When we pray we have direct access to the throne room of God. This allows us to develop a stronger relationship with the Creator. It allows us to better understand His will for our lives, and it allows us to make requests of him. Jesus, while He was on Earth, also made it a habit of taking the time out of His day to spend time alone with God. Not only this, but He gave us an example of how to pray when He prayed The Lord’s Prayer.

The Lord’s Prayer

“Pray then like this: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.’”

Matthew 6:9-13 (ESV)
